Yes I know what Task Manager does but I really don't see how this will help diagnose my problem, I know enough about IT to know I have no malicious software on my PC's. (I got that desktop image by accessing a Windows 7 machine via TeamViewer and doing a screen grab) You can get at the Task Manager by hitting Ctrl-Alt-Del, or by right clicking on the Taskbar, and picking "Start Task Manager". Useful to see if Malwarebytes (or any other suspicious program) is doing strange things in the background. The Task Manager will show you, among other things, which processes are running on your machine. No, I mean the Task Manager, not the Event Manager. If you mean Event Manager yes I did and didn’t set anything obvious. Malwarebytes it’s an anti malware program, I think it’s available for the Mac? □ Some cameras, some lenses, some computers I run an "MS Free" home, but did you have a look at the Task Manager to investigate while you could not access the XQD Reader? I did uninstall MalwareBytes free version about an hour ago, maybe a red herring? I did read that someone uninstalled a malware program and solved there problem. I left the computer and came back, inserted the card reader and XQD card, suddenly I could read the XQD card ? no idea why?
